About FC Beauty College

FC Beauty College is the premier beauty therapy training institute in Ghana and West Africa and has trained over 6000 students since its inception. We are accredited by the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) Beauty Training Institute.

A Brief History of FC Beauty College

Established in 1999 by Mrs. Grace Amey-Obeng and incorporated on 7th April 2003, FC Beauty College (formerly FC Institute of Beauty Therapy) provides training in Beauty therapy, Cosmetology, Hairdressing and related subjects. The college also conducts research and projects in these areas.

Collaborations

Over the years FC Beauty College has collaborated with various agencies, both government and private to deliver high quality skills training to various beneficiaries.

  1. 1. We collaborated with the Ghana Skills Development Initiative (GSDI) to train twenty (20) Mastercrafts persons and twenty (20) apprentices in Cosmetology under their pilot training project in 2014.
  2. 2. We again collaborated with CTVET to train about two hundred and twenty (220) beneficiaries both Master Craft Persons (MCPs) and Apprentices in Cosmetology under the Ghana TVET Project (GTVP) between 2017 and 2019.
  3. 3. Our college was awarded a contract with Skills Development Fund (SDF) to train 120 Mastercrafts persons in Bridal Make-Up, Facial Therapy and Salon Management. The training was done for members of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association (GHABA) in three regions namely Ashanti Region, Northern Region and Volta Region.
  4. 4. We collaborated with Investisseurset Partenaires (I&P) under their IP2e programme to offer scholarships to about thirty-eight (38) underprivileged students in 2024. We further collaborated in 2025 to offer free practical kits to about thirty (30) underprivileged students.

CSR

Until 2017, the college had a dedicated desk at the Girls' Correctional Center at Osu, to train the inmates in hairdressing and basic beauty therapy. This was done in collaboration with the Grace Amey Obeng Foundation International (GAOFI), our CSR arm, to help these underprivileged girls to obtain an alternative source of income and to reduce the menace of sex for money. In addition, the college awards both partial and full scholarships to various underprivileged students every year.
